DIY  Pom Pom Garland

I wanted a cute pom pom garland for my daughters bed but wasn't willing to drop a pretty penny on Etsy for one!

Trust my when I say I am generally NOT a DIYer and even I could handle this.

What You'll Need

(I tried multiple DIY stencils but trust me, its worth the $8!)

Open the Pom Pom maker

1

Wrap your yarn

Start on one of the outer edges of the pom pom maker and wrap your yarn. I like a fuller pom pom and wrap mine 4 times but that is personal preference!

2

When transitioning to the other side, string it across sides and continuing wrapping the other half. When finished, close that side to make a complete circle.

Cut your yarn

Cut the end of the strand you wrapped your pom pom maker with. Then cut an additional ~12" piece to use to tie your pom pom together.

3

Using the guide on your pom pom maker, cut your yarn down the valley in the middle.

Cut the Pom Pom

4

Place the 12" piece of yarn you previously cut down the guide of the pom pom maker. Pull tight and tie a few knots to ensure the pom pom is secure.

Tie the Pom Pom

5

Open both sets of white brackets and pull horizontally to release your pom pom.

Remove your Pom Pom

6

Trim as desired to even out the strands.

ENJOY

Finish the look by using a long piece of yarn to create a pom pom garland! This one was made for my daughters bed.
