Last minute gift ideas for your tiny tot!
Let’s be honest, getting your baby Christmas gifts is pretty useless at this age, but us mamas are so excited to start making things magical for our little babes!
Not sure what gifts to get babes under 1? Well you are in the right place!
Look no further than your own living room…
Crowd Favorites
Here are some of my babes FAVORITE toys. You cannot go wrong with any of the links below and everything is gender neutral. I have put links to brands we have, but babes this little typically aren’t very picky.
Coasters – {Amazon $12.99} – These particular ones come in 6 different colors! But silicone, plastic, wood…doesn’t matter. You name it and they will love it! Coasters are a top hit with the 6-12 month kids for chewing on, stacking, and throwing on the floor. *Bonus if it has a holder as well.
Dog Bed – {Amazon $69.99} – No dog, no problem; they will love it anyway. Aria loves snuggling up our dog’s bed, especially when I won’t let her nap because it is too soon.
Dog Bowls – {Amazon $14.98} – This toy is a 2 for 1 special! On one hand you have a fun water toy as well as an all day snack bowl. Your baby will love dunking their hands in the water and splashing around and then enjoying a tasty treat!
Cell phone – {Apple $649 – iphone Xr} – Although babes aren’t too picky about which cell phone they prefer. Aria really likes my iphone X. Adding the pop socket for extra chewing and easy carrying is a plus!
Remote control – {Amazon $9.99}- I haven’t found a toy my daughter loves more. She is so bright at navigating all of the buttons that almost every time she picks it up, the closed caption turns on. I don’t even know how to do this!!
Coffee mug– {Amazon $13.18} – While you think this may be a gift for yourself, it is actually for your tot. They will love to knock it over, lick the outside, and carry it around. The best part is your coffee is safely (and warmly) contained inside!
Tupperware – {Target $2.99} – Think you have finally mastered storing your Tupperware efficiently (was one of the first steps for me in “adulting”), wait until you have kids. This drawer/cabinet is essentially a toy box. Who knew plastic could be so much fun?! (P.S. You definitely want to stick with plastic on this one)
Ok, for real though
While all of the ideas above could be a big hit (particularly the coasters!), I was “mostly” joking. While those were her favorite play toys around the house, as well as anything I say “no touch” to. Here are some of her ACTUAL favorite toys 🙂
LeapFrog Little Office Learning Center – {Amazon $26.67}- These activity tables provided so much entertainment for my little one from about 4 months on. Definitely worth picking one of these babies up!
GUND Personalized Peek A Boo Bear – {Amazon $54.99} – I was given this as a gift for my baby shower and Aria LOVES this bear. She found it interesting a few months back but now actively hits the button and plays with it, its the cutest.
VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker – {Amazon $34.99} – This is great because it grows with your baby. The front pops off for them to play with in the younger months. As they get older they can sit and interact with all of the buttons on the front and eventually it becomes a walker.
Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes – {Amazon $8.99} – This is a great car seat/ diaper bag toy. Anything with lights and sounds is a win in the younger months and this is light and portable which is perfect for on- the- go!
Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Magical Lights Fishbowl – {Amazon $18.99} – I bought this when Aria was probably 5 months old. Not going to lie, was a pretty big waste until lately (10 months). Now I find everything in the fish tank haha.
Nuby Little Squirts Fun Bath Toys – {Amazon $12.80} – These are great for more than just the bath, I literally find them all over my house. We had them in the baby pool in the summer and some even live in the fish tank (see above) now.
Stocking Stuffers
And to round out the real “mom” gifts here are a few quick ideas for practical stocking stuffers.
Onsies– {Amazon $9.99} – This time of year I am throwing a onsie under almost everything!
Socks– {Amazon $16.99} – For some reason it so hard to find socks with grippers on the bottom! Snagging a few of these for Aria’s stocking.
Toothbrush– {Amazon $4.99} – This ultimate mom stocking stuffer is a must, even if she only has 4 teeth.
I would love to hear any ideas you have for your 6-12 month old for the holidays! Drop them in the comments below!
